Please be informed that, Esmond Anderson appeared before Magistrate Latchman at the Diamond Magistrate Court charged with the offence of trafficking in narcotics to wit 2.996 kg of cocaine. Anderson was found guilty and sentenced to forty-eight (48) months imprisonment with a fine of GYD $ 4.4 M.

Anderson was arrested on 18th February 2022, at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), after CANU Officers discovered approximately 2.996 kg of cocaine in one of his luggage.
