CANU Seizes a Quantity of Cocaine On Wednesday, 9th July 2025, CANU Officers, acting on information received,conducted an operation in the vicinity of Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara, where theyintercepted two (2) motor cars, which led to the discovery of several parcels containing awhitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.• Five (5) persons were arrested and escorted to CANU headquarters along with thesuspected narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed 16.784 kilograms.• Investigations are ongoing.
