Five Arrested Following CANU’s Discovery of Nearly 6 Kilograms of Cocaine in South Ruimveldt Operation On Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, CANU Officers, acting on information received, conducted an operation at a residence located in Home Place, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown. A subsequent search of the residence led to the discovery of several parcels containing a whitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.Five (5) suspects were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed a total of 5.970 kilograms.Investigations are ongoing.

CANU Seizes Over 13 Kilograms of Cocaine During Operation at Adventure Village, Essequibo Coast On Thursday, 23rd October 2025, CANU Officers, acting on information received, conducted an operation at a residence located at Lot 13 Adventure Village, Essequibo Coast.A subsequent search of the residence led to the discovery of several parcels containing a whitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. Kennard Smith, who is a businessman of the said address, was arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed a total of 13.790 kilograms. Investigations are ongoing.
