On 22nd January 2023, CANU officers conducted an operation at Dukestown Corentyne Berbice. The officers conducted a search at a residence, which led to the discovery of two 12-gauge shotguns in the living room area. 

The weapons were confiscated and transported to CANU’s HQ. 

An individual later identified as John Byass, was seen fleeing as the officers were gaining entry to the location.
