On the 4th September 2023, CANU officers conducted an operation at Sandaka Creek, Corentyne Berbice. A subsequent search of the area led to the discovery of quantity of suspected cannabis.
The suspected narcotic was transported to CANU headquarters, where it tested positive for cannabis with a total weight of approximately 26.6 kg (59 lbs.) with a street value of approximately GUY $7.9 M.
A man is in custody, assisting with Investigations.
