On 25th January, 2023, CANU officers conducted an operation at a premises in Tabatinga, Lethem. A search of the premises led to the discovery of two parcels of suspected cannabis concealed in a bucket.

Three persons were arrested and escorted to CANU’s Lethem Office, along with the suspected cannabis, which tested positive for cannabis and weighed a total of 3.4 kg with a street value of approximately GUY $1 million.

Investigations are ongoing.
