On 30th November, 2023, CANU Officers conducted an operation at Providence, East Bank Demerara in the vicinity of a popular mall, where they intercepted a motor car bearing registration number PAE 6311 driven by a lone occupant.
Leonard Caleb, 37 years of Amelia’s Ward, Linden was arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected narcotic. The narcotic tested positive for cannabis, weighing approximately 12.54 kg (almost 27.6 lbs.), with a street value of approximately GUY $ 4 million.
