On 21st December 2023, CANU officers conducted an operation between Adventure, and Good Hope, Essequibo Coast where they intercepted a motor car. A subsequent search of the said motor vehicle was conducted in the presence of the driver which led to the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis, and the arrest of another suspect.
Mitztroy Dash, 42 years of Good Hope Essequibo and Rayborn Gordon, 32 years of lima sand, Essequibo were arrested and escorted to CANU’s headquarters along with the suspected cannabis. The narcotic tested positive for cannabis and had a total weight of 2.4 kg, with a street value of approximately GUY $1M.
