On Tuesday, 17th June 2025, Customs Officers of the Guyana Revenue Authority
(GRA) and CANU officers, acting on information received, searched one (1) incoming box
from the United States of America (USA), which led to the discovery of several
transparent parcels containing a quantity of foreign cannabis. The quantity of foreign
cannabis was subsequently escorted to CANU’s Headquarters, which weighed 2.076
kilograms. Investigations are ongoing.
