•On Friday, 16th May 2025, CANU Officers, acting on information received, conducted an operation at a residence located in Tabatinga Housing Scheme, Lethem. A subsequent search of the residence revealed a parcel containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. 

 • Elton D’ Aguair was arrested and escorted to the CANU Lethem Office along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cannabis and weighed 1.6 kilograms. 

 • Investigations are ongoing.
