On Thursday, 23rd October 2025, CANU Officers, acting on information received, conducted an operation at a residence located at Lot 13 Adventure Village, Essequibo Coast.
A subsequent search of the residence led to the discovery of several parcels containing a whitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.
Kennard Smith, who is a businessman of the said address, was arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed a total of 13.790 kilograms.
Investigations are ongoing.
