On June 5th, 2023, CANU Officers conducted an operation in the vicinity of Koker, located in number 65 village, Corentyne Berbice. A subsequent search of the nearby bushes uncovered eight ( 8 ) bulky salt bags containing several parcels of suspected cannabis.

Two (2) persons are in custody pending investigations

The suspected narcotic was transported to CANU Headquarters, where it tested positive for cannabis amounting to approximately 223 kg (about 491.6 lbs.), with a street value of approximately GUY$ 67 M.
Investigations are ongoing.
