Please be informed that on Friday, 9th May 2025, Jason DeFreitas appeared before Magistrate McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the offence of aiding Colin Alfred and Terrence Bentinck to traffic 11.148 kgs of cocaine. Bail was granted to DeFreitas in the sum of GYD$500,000 on the condition that he lodges his passport with the court and reports to CANU’s headquarters every other Friday.
